This was my 2nd year with Southern Illinois Trophy Bowhunting and my 20th year Bowhunting Illinois. I had one of my best hunts ever and didn't take a deer home. On the 2nd evening of my hunt I blew an opportunity on a 150" 8pt while trying to get positioned for the shot I spooked the does that were right under me and they ran off taking the buck with them. A couple days later in a different stand near where I had the 8pt encounter I got another opportunity at a bigger buck probably mid 160's at 37yds but my arrow hit a limb and broke in to pieces. Southern Illinois Trophy Bowhunting has some of the best ground I have ever set foot on and the bucks to go with it. On the last day of my hunt I saw 12 bucks before 9am and that afternoon on a different stand saw just as many 2 of which were 150" or better. I passed multiple bucks near the 140" range. The accommodations were top notch. Food and lodging were awesome. They even have a place outside to keep all your hunting gear to help with scent control. If you are looking for a quality low pressured Bowhunt in the Midwest I would recommend Southern Illinois Trophy Bowhunting be at the top of your list. They have alot of ground and take very limited number of hunters. I'm already looking forward to my hunt with them November 2020.
